I teach classic and modern methods of guitar, focusing on techniques that will enable the student to reach their goals. This includes note reading, chord and rhythm study, flat-picking, finger-picking, scales and ear-training.

I use a variety of materials, applicable to the student. Some of the books I use are Aaron Shearer's Classic Guitar Technique, William Leavitt's A Modern Method for Guitar, and my own, Guitar Basics, which is an introduction to various styles. I encourage students to experiment on thier own, help them learn songs in their interest and expose them to music that encourages their ability.

I normally teach half-hour lessons, (although hour lessons are available) and charge $40/hour.
